HINEMĀRIE
 
When your healing feels so healing that a goddess comes out.
 
This piece is a deeply personal reflection of my journey moving from shadow work to healing and a continuation of the story of, "Hine-ātārangi" which is why their colour palette and patterns mirror eachother.
 
The same soul, the same path.
 
Thats why I drew myself as Hinemārie - its a self portrait.
 
Born from her own shadow work as a mortal, Hinemārie brought with her a hue, mended together with all the separated fragments of her earthly self. This hue is imbued with the wairua of IO and with it, Hinemārie pours that mauri into Aotearoa and her people, weaving back together all that has been separated, divided and broken.

All of my work is produced with great attention to the concept and/or message I want to convey, the composition of the various elements included and to details such as colour and illustration. Prints are produced with the idea of being framed and hung as works of art. Due to individual monitor settings colours may appear slightly different. In person they are vibrant, rich and true to the original.
